Tripod

Yesterday we contructed a tripod to prepear our camp. What you need is a long string and 3 sticks. Then what you have to do is to tie a string around a stick 6 times.

Next you weave the string around the 3 sticks six times. Once you woven the string, you can make the sticks stand up. If it doesn't stand up properly you will have to put more string on the top so it could stay firm.

After you've finished doing that, you test it to see if it's good enough to hold weight. You grab another string and grab something that is heavy like a stick. In my group we made a small tripod but it is good enough. But we made a cool one.We didn't test it, but we worked as a team.

Last Post

April 25th is a memorial day to remember the people who died in the war. They fought for their country NZ.

The ‘Last Post’ is a tune blown on a cornet ( type of trumpet) that calls us to remember soldiers that did not return from war.  We hear the “Last Post’ played on Anzac day.

We celebrate with dawn parades, that include ceremonies that reminds of how those that died gave their lives. People wake up in 5am in the morning, skip breakfast and go to the dawn parades. ANZAC is an acronym that stands for Australia New Zealand Army  Corps.

In the morning, I played with the soccer ball as I ate. I watched the other boys play rugby, I can’t play with them,because I am not good at playing rugby and I’m really shy to talk to them. I got too bored and I had no one to play with.

Then I saw Kevin playing a game called catch, and I decided to play with them. I saw Kevin catching the ball but he failed so bad at catching it. Then what happened is Immanuel played with us, then threw the ball so high that it’s like a bomb.

Kevin joined  the girl’s team and also Immanuel. I had Evan and Filipo in my team. The funny part was, Immanuel threw the ball super high and unfortunately, it went on the roof but fortunately, it went in the other side of  Room 7 and 8.  Filipo and Evan threw the ball so, so high then what happened, it when in the tree.
